The Sugababes will perform their new single Girls live for the first time this Saturday on Strictly Come Dancing, which is on at 18:45. Make sure you tune in to watch it.

Girls is currently #15 in the UK Midweek Chart today, from download sales alone. We would also like to take this opportunity to ask anyone who has not yet voted for us in the BT DMA08 People’s Choice Awards if they could spare a minute and cast their vote. All you have to do is head over to the awards website and fill out a very short form.
The hair, make-up and dresses were perfect, the steps had been rehearsed, and the celebrity audience was in place.
But you can’t plan for everything. And as Heidi Range and her Sugababe bandmates marched down the catwalk last night she stepped right out of her designer shoe.
The Push The Button singer looked horrified as she realised her fashion faux pas. But, a true professional, she didn’t miss a step.

Girls has moved up to the A List on Radio One this week. It is also #4 in the UK Airplay charts. Make sure you continue to request the song on your favourite radio station.
The image below has been posted on the Sugababes’ official Bebo and MySpace pages leading us to believe it may be the CD cover for Girls, although it has not been confirmed yet. A tracklisting for one CD has also surfaced. It is unclear if there will be a second CD released as well.

Heidi has revealed that the Sugababes’ new album Catfights and Spotlights will sound darker and more mature than their previous albums. She has also said that the lead single Girls is not representative of the album since it contains many different musical styles. Heidi also confirmed that they have not worked with long time contributers Xenomania, made up of Brain Higgins and his team, who have worked with the Sugababes since the Angels With Dirty Faces era on tracks such as Round Round, Hole In The Head, and Red Dress. Catfights And Spotlights as confirmed today by PopJustice. PopJustice have also confirmed that the title of the song Murder One has been changed to something “less murdery”.

PopJustice have posted some of their thoughts on five tracks from the Sugababes’ new album. They describe the songs as “soulful, melodramatic, orchestral and intensely brilliant” and “‘literally amazing”. They have also included some lyrics to the song Murder One. Read the article here.
