I'M sure lads out there will think the sexy SUGABABES look good enough to eat as they film their new video. KEISHA BUCHANAN, AMELLE BERRABAH and HEIDI RANGE dazzled in the sunshine on London's South Bank as they filmed the promo for new single About You Now. Now that's a sweet job for any cameraman. The single, out next month, is the first from the trio's forthcoming fifth studio album.

Recently the Sugababes have been filming the video for About You Now along the River Thames. One fan was lucky enough to be passing by and got to watch the video being shot. Luckily for us they recorded a clip of it onto their mobile phone and have uploaded it to YouTube. You can watch the clip below.

The user Giftofmelody on YouTube has posted a video of herself singing an acoustic version of About You Now - and we love it. Here it is:
Radio 1 is preparing to celebrate 40 years at the top with an amazing anniversary treat. The cream of UK talent, plus a couple of adopted Brits, have been rounded up to record a hit from each year the music station has been going.
The Sugababes have recorded a cover of the 1972 hit Betcha By Golly Wow originally recorded by The Stylistics.
Also on the CD will be Mutya’s cover of Fast Car, the 1988 hit by Tracey Chapman.

Here’s the first clip of the Sugababes’ brand new single About You Now. It’s only short but contains the chorus. To listen to the clip CLICK HERE.
PopJustice.com have given a short rundown of the new Sugababes single. Here’s what they had to say about it…
» It is called ‘About You Now’ and it is out next month.
» Dr Luke produced this. He may have written it as well. He definitely had his hand in it somewhere. Dr Luke does stuff like Lady Sovereign, Kelly Clarkson and Paris Hilton. He is very good.
» It is a ballad.
» We are only joking. It is not a ballad at all.
» “Can we bring yesterday back around because I know how I feel about you now / I was young, I was dumb, I let you down but I know how I feel about you now.” That is the chorus. It is amazing.
» There’s no getting away from the fact that it does start off sounding a bit like Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Since U Been Gone’, but it’s also exactly the sort of song Kelly Clarkson would have refused to record for ‘My December’. There can be no higher praise.
» Anyway, by the chorus it’s decided to be a barnstorming pop-electro-rock masterpiece.
» It is a proper pop song. It is not trying to be clever and it is not really trying to be “oh look at me I’m innovating”. It is just a very unselfconscious, very pleased-to-be-exactly-what-it-is pop song.
» “Don’t let our last kiss be our last” is another good line.
» It ends with a double chorus and then “but I know how I feel about you now, and I know how I feel about you now”, ie repeating the last bit of the chorus twice, which is one of the best things that can EVER happen in a pop song. It does not end with a fade.
» It’s the best Sugababes single since ‘Round Round’.
» It doesn’t sound anything like what the Sugababes have done before but it is instantly recognisable as a Sugababes song.
» We like it quite a lot.
SUGABABE KEISHA BUCHANAN has vowed to stand by troubled bandmate AMELLE BERRABAH. The pop industry has been awash with rumours Amelle was on the verge of being kicked out of the band. She has been under pressure to dump her gipsy lover FREDDIE FULLER and it was claimed she was even given a "him or us" ultimatum by the rest of the group. But Keisha has insisted the band support Amelle and want her to stay.
In February Fuller was accused of raping Amelle's younger sister but he insists he is innocent and Amelle has stood by him. Keisha told me: "We're here to support Amelle no matter what happens." Referring to Amelle getting her big break with the group, she added: "Sometimes, when you're given something, your friends and family can take it in a negative way. Unfortunately Amelle has been dealt a hard hand when it comes to her personal life. But she's never had to choose between her boyfriend and the band."
Amelle replaced MUTYA BUENA and joined Keisha and HEIDI RANGE in the chart-topping trio 18 months ago. Keisha admitted she no longer talks to former bandmate Mutya. She said: "I think it's difficult for her seeing us moving on. We just don't talk. But me and Heidi are here if she wants to pick up the phone."
The band's current trio are looking sexy and sophisticated in this new group shot. Their new single, About You Now, is out on September 24. It's the first single from their fifth studio album - a prolific tally for a girl group.

They are undoubtedly the most popular girl band in the world today. With their unique brand of pop and their amazing sense of style, they have rightfully carved their niche in the world of modern music. Never out of the headlines or far from the front cover of a magazine, they have produced that winning blend of genuine talent and commercial success. Despite the fact that two original band members have been replaced since they formed in 1998, the Sugababes have managed to stay at the top of their game. With four number one singles and four top ten albums under their belt, it seems that nothing can stand in the way of this pop powerhouse. Their achievements have not gone unrecognised, either, and the fact that they have scooped numerous music awards - including a Brit - has added to their credibility. This fascinating, in-depth book - packed with amazing colour pictures - is the first to bring you the full story of the group and all of its members, both past and present. It reveals the early days of the girls and how they got together, charts their lives and loves and reveals how, despite the constant press stories of impending splits and in-fighting, they have proved that they are still one of the most enduring and in-demand girl bands in pop history.
The Sugababes have been nominated for Best Band at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards. They’re up against Girls Aloud, McFly and Fall Out Boy.

Details on the Sugababes’ new single are very hush-hush at the moment. There was a rumour the single would be called Dangerous Liaisons, however PopJustice.com have stated that this is not the title of the new single. PopJustice have also entered the Sugababes at the #1 spot on their “Almighty List” (see picture on the right) - suggesting that the new single is very good indeed and already has the PJ seal of approval. PopJustice have also said that they hope to reveal some more information about the single early next week.
The single is due to be released on October 1st, with the album being released the following week on October 8th. Therefore it should not be long before we start to find out more information. Keep checking back for the latest updates.

Some pictures have appeared on the Internet today of the Sugababes turning up to a London studio where Timbaland has been working. The are also shots of Justin Timberlake and Madonna arriving at the same studios, however it not believe that they will be working with the Sugababes too. Timbaland is the producer behind recent hits such as Maneater by Nelly Furtado and SexyBack by Justin Timberlake.
As well as Timbaland, the Sugababes have also worked with Dallas Austin and Rob Dougan on tracks from their forthcoming album, which will be released later this year.
QUEEN have topped a list of bands people WISH they had been in. The Bohemian Rhapsody rockers fronted by the late Freddie Mercury beat The Beatles into second place.
In the poll of 1,000 people by bar chain Walkabout, most said the buzz of a live show would be the best thing about being in a band. But only 29 per cent wanted to be lead singer.
Top 10: 1 Queen; 2 The Beatles; 3 Pink Floyd; 4 The Spice Girls; 5 The Sugababes; 6 U2 and Take That; 8 The Jam; 9 Rolling Stones; 10 Oasis.
