This week About You Now falls from #11 to #14 in the Official UK Singles Chart, and Change raises from #36 to #26. Meanwhile, in the Official UK Albums Chart Change falls from #22 to #26 and Overloaded: The Singles Collection falls from #77 to #86.
We dragged the Sugas away from the very important business of Christmas shopping for a few hours so they could take part in our frock-tastic shoot. While they struck a pose, we quizzed them on what they’d be getting up to this Christmas…
What’s been your best and worst-ever Christmas present?
Heidi: I remember when I got a pair of Minnie Mouse rollerskates - I thought they were the best thing in the world. And I love snow at Christmas as well. I get really excited by it.
Amelle: I get socks every year, but I love them. My best-ever present was a car-racing experience. I’m a bit of a speed demon.
Keisha: I’m addicted to lingerie so that’s always a good gift. Although one time a friend of mine bought me some underwear, but it turned out it was crotchless knickers and a peep-hole bra. I was like, ‘What am I supposed to do with this?’ That was really weird and no, I didn’t wear them!
What are your plans for Christmas?
Heidi: All I want for Christmas is a lie-in. I want a nice, lazy day. I’ll be going back to Liverpool to see family, but I’ll be making sure I’m kissing my boyfriend (TV presenter Dave Berry) under the mistletoe - we spend Christmas apart, but New Year together.
Amelle: I’ll go to my mum’s house, go over and see some friends, and then over to my boyfriend Freddie’s house. It’s a real family time. I help set the table but I’m not very good at cooking!
Keisha: I’m spending time with family. We’ll have board games, card games and loads of old movies. I’m quite good in the kitchen, I’ll try and make a Christmas cake this year.
Ever had an embarrassing Christmas party moment?
Amelle: There was one time when I was at a Christmas party and I slipped down the stairs in front of everyone. I was like, ‘Here I am!’ and then I slid all the way down the carpet on the stairs. Everyone just laughed.
What are your New Year plans?
Amelle: We’re performing in Germany on New Year’s Eve but hopefully we’ll have time to have a few drinks afterwards to count down to midnight. Then we’re all going to Antigua, me and Keisha and our boyfriends.
What about New Year’s resolutions?
Heidi: Me and Dave have just bought a place together, so I’m making a new rule that if I get a new pair of shoes, I’ve got to throw a pair away. I’ve got so many pairs of shoes so I’ll be taking a lot of stuff down to the charity shop.
Sugababes’ new single, Change, is out 17th December.

Island Records have recently sent out promotional CDs of My Love Is Pink - sparking rumours that this will be the third single after Change. However, this has not been confirmed yet. It seems as though these promo CDs are to keep the Sugababes getting played in clubs over the Christmas and New Year period.
A download single of the track will be available from December 10th. You can buy it HERE.
The Sugababes are nominated for Best Track (About You Now) and Best UK Act at the Virgin Media Awards ‘07. Amelle is also nominated for Most Fanciable Female, which she won last year.
Please make sure you vote for the ‘babes and Amelle here: www.virginmedia.com/music/awards2007
You can vote more than once, but may have to leave it a day before voting again.
The Sugababes score their 20th top 40 chart hit today as their new single Change enters the Official UK Singles Chart at #36. Meanwhile, About You Now just slips out of the top 10 to #11. In the Official UK Albums Chart Change rises to #22.
THERE is something weird about the SUGABABES in this picture. It looks like the blokes in the studio Pushed The Button far too many times on the air-brushing tool. The girls were posing in specially made HENRY HOLLAND dresses as part of a new campaign for a mobile phone. They are naturally fit. So why have the artist fellas made them look almost cartoon-like? What next? Heidi with a Marge Simpson beehive?
