From Sugababes.com:
The shoot date for the new Sugababes video with Girls Aloud for Comic Relief, is Wednesday 17th January and we want you to take part! We are looking for guys and girls of every ethnicity. You need to be aged 16 – 30 with a slick R&B style. We are filming at a London location that will not provide parking but is close to a Piccadilly Line tube station.
So, if you are a Sugababes fan, are over 16 years old, live in London and are available to take part for the day or in to the evening (you will be required to stay for roughly 8 hours) on Wednesday 17th January, please send an email to extras@crossroadsfilms.co.uk with a picture, stating your name, age and telephone number. (Do not call the office as we are only responding to emails).
NB: Please be certain that you can commit to this date and location before emailing as it is essential and fair that, if selected, you turn up as there are other people who would like the opportunity. Confirmed hours and location details can be will be supplied next week to those chosen... Good luck!
We may not be able to include everyone, but thank you all for applying to donate your time for Comic Relief.
With thanks!
As you should know by now the Sugababes' next single will be a duet with Girls Aloud and will be the official Comic Relief 2007 single, with all proceeds going to charity to help people in the UK and some of the poorest countries in the world. The single was rumoured to be a cover of Walk This Way previously recorded by Aerosmith and Run DMC. This rumour has now been confirmed (see below). There is also an unconfirmed rumour that the b-side will be another duet - a cover of Wicked Game which Girls Aloud had supposedly recorded previously but never released it.
Last month both groups' official websites asked for fans to apply to be in the video, which was meant to be shot last month but was cancelled at the last minute. Now it seems that the eight girls were not able to make the same video shoots so three seperate shoots have been organised. The Sugababes will do their bit one day, Nadine and Sarah from Girls Aloud will do their bits another day, and Cheryl, Nicola, and Kimberley shot their bit yesterday. spikeyroberto from the official Girls Aloud forum was at the shoot yesterday, and gave this account of the video:
Well just got back from the filming of it and only 3 of GA were there..Kimberley, Cheryl & Nicola...The song IS Walk This Way and we got to hear the end part of the song and it sounded very good! We later found out Sarah and Nadine are on holiday and will be added to the video later by digital effects?? Sounds very strange. So we got there and all got ready in a big room while the 3 girls were doing solo shots and stuff next door and we waited AGES until we could go in - the director was the american guy that did The Show video and was really friendly and the video is like a catwalk and the girls walk down it and there is a mic hanging which they grab and then we presume its thrown across and sugababes will be on another catwalk we think so the mic goes back and forth? We were to the left of the catwalk just as a crowd dancing and then at the end we had to throw soft red noses up in the air onto the catwalk while the girls stood there!

Our link for the mp3 of the Sugababes and Dusty Springfield singing Dancing In The Street expired quickly so we've uploaded it again. Thanks to everyone who contacted us at webmaster@sugababesuk.com to let us know. If you missed the song the first time you can now download it HERE.
Thanks to Mika for posting these pictures on our forum:
The Sugababes have been named The Mirror's 3am Girls' pop group of the year. Here's the article from their website:

THEY had yet another new member to break in, but losing Mutya hasn't lost the Babes any fans. Joined by new girl Amelle Berrabah, the tunesome trio are still pushing all the right buttons with us too. We loved the album Taller In Many Ways, and the Overloaded greatest hits CD was as sassy as the lasses themselves.
Excellent news for the 'babes... shame that they got the album title wrong though when they love it so much!
Overloaded: The Singles Collection falls just one place to #16 in the UK’s Christmas Album Chart 2006 this week.

You can now listen to the Sugababes’ rendition of White Christmas in our music player in the gold bar above. We also have it available as an exclusive download. The file is hosted on YouSendIt. Just CLICK HERE to download it. This mp3 is of the first section of the song with the Sugababes singing alone. Our recording jumped during Charlotte’s part so we do not have that part at the moment but check back in a couple of days and we will upload it. (Although we much prefer this version).
