STRUGGLING Celebrity Fame Academy stars are being offered emergency tuition by Joss Stone and the Sugababes.
The Grammy-winner and top girl band were drafted in to help the 12 remaining contestants after judges on the BBC1 talent show slated Saturday night’s performances.
Academy headmaster Richard Park said sternly: “I don’t hear a great deal of singing talent.”
Contestants including It-girl Tara Palmer Tomkinson, 35, Blue Peter Presenter Zoe Salmon, 24, and former EastEnder Shaun Williamson, 42, will get tips on how to breathe and project their voices.
Comic Rowland Rivron, 48, was first to be booted off the show after singing “Stand By Your Man” while inflating fake breasts under his shirt.

Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan was so moved by street children she met during a recent trip to South Africa that she wants to adopt.
The ‘Push The Button’ singer burst into tears after meeting 12-year-old Nokwanda, a rape victim from Durban who has been abandoned by her family.
Buchanan recalled: “She said, ‘I wish you could visit all the time, why do you have to go?’ It broke my heart. What can you say to that? I know I will see her lovely face in my dreams forever.
“Meeting children like her makes me understand why Madonna felt compelled to adopt. It is definitely something I would consider one day.”

Amelle is one of the many celebrities who have offered their advice to an article on how to get self-confidence and use it.
She said: “Be strong and confident and, if anyone says anything bad about you, learn you can’t take it personally, because that person doesn’t even know you.”
“Just carry on doing what you’re doing and don’t take it personally, you don’t even have to prove yourself. Do what you love and do what you think is the best. I know it’s hard to ignore someone saying something bad about you, because it does hit a nerve in you and you do get upset, but you’ve got to lift your chin up and just keep going.”

New pop/electro/rock band DRAGONETTE have announced that they will be supporting the Sugababes on their fourthcoming Arena tour in March and April this year. Although the band have yet to release a single in the UK they have already been tipped for big things. At the start of the year PopJustice labelled them as “your new favourite band” and were The Guardian’s “band of the day” on Tuesday.
PopJustice’s praise certainly rings true with us at SugababesUK.com as we have had Dragonette’s songs on repeat for weeks. If you’d like to know more about the band and hear their music visit their official website www.dragonette.com or their official MySpace page www.myspace.com/dragonetteband
The band’s debut single I Get Around will be released in the UK on April 30th.
Mutya has teamed up with Groove Armada on a track called Song 4 Mutya. To read Popjustice’s review of it click here. You can also listen to a clip of it here.

SUGABABE HEIDI RANGE is in for a camp wedding if fella DAVE BERRY has anything to do with it. T4 host Dave hopes to have the SCISSOR SISTERS and THE MUPPETS as surprise guests when he and his missus tie the knot. Dave is an old pal of the New York act and when he and Heidi met ANA MATRONIC and JAKE SHEARS in Berlin on New Year’s Eve they offered their services for the bash.
Dave is also keen to have kids’ favourites The Muppets at the ceremony. Dave said: “I’ve known the Scissor Sisters a long time. I did their first UK interview when I was on MTV and we got on well. They even offered to play at our wedding. Did you see their Brits show with The Muppets? That’s what I want at our wedding — The Muppets and the Scissor Sisters.”
Hold on to your hats, though — Dave hasn’t named the date just yet. But having chatted to the smitten presenter I reckon Heidi will have a sparkler by the end of the year.
Dave is currently presenting new YouTube-style show Homemade on T4. But it has already got him in trouble with Heidi. The Saturday afternoon programme asks people to send in clips of themselves performing as their idols. Dave said: “There’s been some great ones sent in. Heidi thinks I’m trying to put her out of a job. I’ll be sat there watching them going, ‘Look at her — she’s better than KEISHA.’ But she’s got nothing to worry about — she’s great.”

There is ONE video which is for Don’t Give It Up. This will be released to all satelite channels around February after an exclusive premier which is happening soon.
It has also been decided that Don’t Give It Up WILL be released as a commercial single; in its own right! This will be available to everyone in April and will get a 2CD release as well as vinyl and digital download.
A 2nd single (which is likely to be a track called “So You Say") will be released in June, with the album to immediately follow.
With thanks to Suasexed.
